Simao have left Atletico Madrid

The career of Simao Sabrosa in Atletico Madrid will soon end. He will be moving to Besiktas in the January’s transfer window.

Atletico Madrid gained 900k euros for releasing Simao to Besiktas. In his new club, he has been contracted for 2 and half years, and he will be also joining with Ricardo Quaresma, his international team.

Simao have been joining Atletico Madrid from Benfica since 2007, played his last match/game with the Atletico Madrid when they won 1-0 over Espanyol. In fact, the only goal scored in the game was produced by Simao Sabrosa himself. He got standing ovation from the fans when he was substituted in the second half.

“This is hard for me, I can say it. Since I moved to Atletico Madrid, I have been growing to a better professional player,” said by Simao himself in the Sky Sports.

Quique Sanchez Flores praise Simao for his great contribution to the team while he was one of the Atletico. According to him, Simao is an important figure for a team.

“It was an honor used to be having Simao in the team. He have turned to a professional and spectacular with influences from in and out the field,” stated by Sanchez Floran
